Eight-hundred acres of the Brokenburn Plantation owned by Mrs. Stone was located in the southwest corner of Carrol Parish, Louisiana and on adjacent land in Madison Parish to the south. The Valentine family plantation was located just west of the Hartison property. Note the designations of the primary residence, quarters, and cotten gin.
