Notes and Comments

The 1850 federal census of the Mark Alexander George household records Permelia George as Pamilla.

The 1870 U.S. Federal Census of Talbot County, Georgia incorrectly lists Mark Alexander George as Marcus George.

At the birth of Sarah Jane Emanuel on 10 Mar 1873, William David Emanuel and Martha (George) Emanuel  had been married nine months and 11 days.

Nothing is known about the three-month old male living in the William David Emanuel household at the 1880 federal census. Sixteen-year old I. C. Emanuel and 14 year-old Lilly Emanuel were daughters of William David Emanuel by his marriage to Catherine P. Brown.

Hope Cemetery is located at Henrietta in Clay County, Texas (33.820560° N latitude, -98.203035° W longitude).
