Maude Ellen (Griffith) Countryman was a daughter of Michael John Griffith and his wife Agnes Leticia (Livingston) Griffith. Maude Griffith’s Livingston ancestors were in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania by 1762. Her grandfather, David Ralston Livingston, migrated from Indiana County, Pennsylvania to Holmes County, Ohio before 18 Jun 1857. Maude’s parents married in Holmes County, Ohio on 30 Aug 1877. The family migrated first to Kansas, where Maude Ellen Griffith married Fred Glonar Countryman on 16 Feb 1896. Eventually, the couple settled at Fairview in Major County, Oklahoma.
