In his Will dated 16 Apr 1653 and proved on 27 Sep 1753, Daniel Duckfield, the second husband of Hester Catelyn, bequeathed “the sum of ffive pounds more thereof to ffortunatus Sydnor, the grandchild of my laate wife Esther deceased, to be paid unto him also at his age of one and twenty years, if he shall be then living.”

Fortunatus Sydnor immigrated from England to Lancaster County in the Virginia Colony before 8 Jan 1670/71, when he witnessed the Will of Hough Brent.

Fortunatus Sydnor died in Lancaster County, Virginia on 15 Mar 1683/84.
