Mrs. Oliver Howell
GARFIELD - Mrs. Ettie Estella Howell, 63, died Monday afternoon at Edwards County Hospital, Kinsley, after a long illness. Born Jan. 28, 1907, at Fairfield, she was married to Oliver Howell, June 6, 1925, at Burdette. He died in 1967. She had been a lifetime resident of Garfield.
She was a member of the Congregational Church and Garfield Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include a daughter Mrs. Melburn Stude, Garfield brothers, John Countryman, Kinsley; Gilbert Countryman, American Falls, Idaho; sisters, Mrs. Lucy Schneider, Greensburg; Mrs. Hila Hinds, Pawnee Rock; Mrs. Ida Wimberly, Oregon; four grandchildren.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Beckwith Mortuary, Larned; Rev. A. E. Beardsley. Burial will be at Garfield Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home until services.
