Biography notes for Amelia Alice Kniseley
Amelia Kniseley was born in Romulus Township of Seneca County, New York on 22 Jan 1845. She was the first child born to Elijah M.Kniseley and Abby Jane Kniseley (Benjamin). At her birth, Elijah Kniseley was 25 years of age and Abby Jane Kniseley was 18. A secondchild William C. Kniseley was born in about 1848.

The 1850 federal census of Varick Township of Seneca County, New York enumerates the Elijah M. Kniseley household including Amelia Kniseley, age 4 years and born in New York. Elijah Kniseley, age 30 and born inPennsylvania, was working as a laborer. Abby Jane Kniseley (Benjamin)was age 25 and born in New York, and William C. Kniseley was age 4years and born in New York. Acording to the census, Amelia Kniseleyattended school during 1850.

Also living in the Elijah Kniseley household of 1850 were SamuelBenjamin, age 50 years, Edward H. Benjamin, age 12, Allen Benjamin,age 9, and Angeline Benjamin, age 6, all born in New York. SamuelBenjamin was the father of Abby Jane Kniseley (Benjamin). Presumably,Edward H. Benjamin, Allen Benjamin and Angeline Benjamin weresiblings, or possibly nieces and nephews, of Abby Jane Kniseley(Benjamin).

Ameilia Kniseley is buried in Hillside Cemetery at Kinsley in Edwards County, Kansas.

While going through my mother's stuff I came across these two pages
which you might find interesting and no doubt you already have theinfo
contained in these pages. She has no references but they are typed on
