John Dennis was a son of Jacob Dennis, Sr. Peter Dennis married Elizabeth Boswell of Talbot County, Georgia. The wife of John Dennis has not been identified.

A Peter Dennis acquired land in the 1832 Georgia Cherokee Land Lottery as number 24 in 4th district, 2nd section, Cherokee. His residence is listed as Coxe's, Talbot County, Georgia.
