Jane Jones

Little is known about Jane Jones, the wife of Emanuel Jones of Chester County, Pennsylvania. Emanuel and Jane Jones married before Aug 1709. A son David Emanuel was born before 4 May 1710, and a daughter Ann Emanuel was born before Apr 1733.

Following the death of her husband, Emanuel Jones, in about 1757, Jane Jones took residence in Goshen Township of Chester County, Pennsylvania.

Jane Jones died in Goshen Township of Chester County, Pennsylvania before Evan Jones signed a bond as administrator her estate on 24 Mar 1761 (323). An inventory of the Estate of Jane Jones was recorded in Chester County on 21 Apr 1761 (322).

Notes and Comments

Assuming that David Emanuel, the first child of Emanuel and Jane Jones, was at least 21 years of age when he witnessed the Will of John Lewis, then he was born before 4 May 1710, and presumably Emanuel and Jane Jones were married before Aug 1709. Assuming that Jane Jones was about 18 years at her marriage to Emanuel Jones, then she was born in about 1691.

An inventory of the Estate of Jane Jones refers to her as a widow, late of Goshen Township of Chester County, Pennsylvania (322).
