In the name of God Amen.

I Lewis A Emanuel being of Sound and disposeing mind and memory but being in the Military Service of My Country Wherefore life is uncertain, do make publish and declare this writing to be my last Will and testament

1st I desire a decent burial if it be Convenient.

2nd I give and bequeath unto My Sister Georgia A Emanuel and Thomas J. Emanuel and Moses T Emanuel my entire Estate Real and personal with the following restrictions. My negroes I give unto my mother during her Natural life or Widowhood, and at her death then the said Negroes to be together with all the rest of my Estate Equally devided between my said Sister Georgia and my Said two brothers Thomas J and Moses T. Should either of these die without children then the Surviving ones of them to be the owners of such I have to which such decease one was entitled.

I hereby appoint my mother A J Emanuel my Executor this last Will and testment

30th day of August 1862
