Notes for Edmonds Bruin
Before 7 Feb 1807, Edmonds Bruin witnessed a deed by William Smith of Claiborne County to his son-in-law, James Corbet, of 57 acres, English plantation measure, bounded on the north by David Christian, on east by lands claimed by Lewis Evans and George Overaker, Esqs, and on all other sides by lands of William Smith. James Pryor, Edmond Brewin witnessed the deed. William Smith acknowledged the deed before P. B. Bruin on 7 Feb 1807. The land was surveyed on 12 Oct 1808 by Archibald Searcy.
On 22 Dec 1807, Edmonds Bruin witnessed a deed made on 8 May 1807 by Robert Cochran and John Murdock of Claiborne County, Mississippi Territory to David Christian, of same, for $300, paid, for 269 acres on James Creek, (metes). Signed by both Cochran and Murdock. Witnessed: Henry Cassiday, Edmonds Bruin. Bruinsburg, 22 Dec 1807.
