Then & Change Genealogy began as an effort to present our genealogy research results to our families and close friends. As a bonus, by writing narratives about our ancestors and their relationships, we inevitably discovered gaps or errors in our interpretation of data or in our reasoning. As a result, while we welcome all visitors to this site, we do not always write with a general audience in mind.

We strive to be accurate and to highlight uncertainties, but we do include incomplete information as well as conjectures and ideas that represent hypotheses more so than facts. We may present uncertain information expecting our families and other researchers to improve over our results. Genealogy research and documenting family histories are not exact endeavors, and there are bound to be errors in the information we present. We hope eventually to identify and correct every error, but recognize that we will never quite reach that goal.

William R. Emanuel maintains the Then & Change Genealogy site. Peggy Carter Price assembled and developed much of the Emanuel and Stone Family information included throughout the site.
